What You Will Do:
The software training specialist is a key training team member, responsible for all facets of the design, development, and delivery of software training using a combination of web-based, distance-learning and instructor-led training methods. This person will be responsible for the assessment, design, and conceptualization of training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, and curriculums to support the implementation of a Human Resource Information System. In this role, the individual will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business owners, and other team members throughout the design and development process.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with the client and functional area/SMEs to develop, implement, and maintain training instructional materials in multiple modalities including Job Aids, videos, live/virtual instructor-led training, and online computer-based trainings to assist employees in learning software functionality

  • Experience with incorporating change management in training approach

  • Training creation, management, scheduling, delivery & assessment

  • Design and maintain W training curriculum and development plans utilizing multiple modalities such as Job Aids, videos, live/virtual instructor-led training, and computer-based trainings employing various tools

  • Maintain knowledge of all software modules including HCM, Payroll, Time and Attendance, Talent & Performance, Compensation, etc.

  • Evaluate training impacts due to software releases in partnership with the client and develop appropriate implementation materials

  • Conduct semi-annual audits of training Job Aids and other reference materials; evaluate and review for changes and schedule future materials for publication

  • Apply continuous improvement principles to training creation and delivery, help text functionality, and all other aspects of the training function

  • Schedule and deliver training sessions as needed based on software updates or when new modules or options are added

  • Facilitate SME-led informational sessions in partnership with functional areas


What You Will Need:

  • A CURRENT and ACTIVE Top Secret (TS) /SCI federal security clearance with Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • SIX (6) years previous experience developing high-quality courses using a combination of web-based training, distance-learning, and instructor-led training.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

  • Familiarity with various instructional tools to produce blended learning program consisting of eLearning, classroom, and video conferencing.

  • The candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

  • High business and technical aptitude to learn new applications.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of or experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense.

  • Experience in curriculum design and professional classroom training

  • Experience developing and leading virtual/distance learning

  • Experience with ERP/HRIS systems

  • Demonstrated effectiveness as an Adult Learning Instructor

  • Excellent training facilitation skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills

  • Solid project management skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices related to curriculum development, training methodologies, and evaluation

  • Ability to manage the concurrent development of multiple courses according to project schedules

  • Proficiency with content authoring and other educational technology tools

  • Knowledge of 508 accessibility and compliance

  • Experience with Web application concepts (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, on-line web-based training (such as Teams, GoTo Meeting), and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
