What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is currently seeking operations consulting professionals in support of Department of Defense (DoD) clients. These teammates will be responsible for supporting engagements with major DoD Programs to improve operations and efficiency outcomes across the program lifecycle, including Program Acquisition and Sustainment functions, cost/schedule/performance management, and identifying new client challenges to solve.
Responsibilities will include:
Support consulting projects for major DoD weapon systems, overseeing all phases of the program lifecycle, including acquisition, sustainment, and modernization activities.
Serve as a point of contact for government stakeholders, providing guidance and status updates.
Support cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.
Identify, assess, and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Engage with stakeholders across the client enterprise to build consensus and design solutions align with the client’s overall objectives
Support day-to-day project team activities to gain customer buy-in towards a common operating picture, solution architecture, and roadmap for execution
Research and recommend cost-effective government-approved technologies, frameworks, and systems towards achieving the desired future state
What You Will Need:
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
Bachelor's Degree
TWO (2) or more years of experience with DoD organizations and/or Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry
Experience supporting complex programs, ideally in DoD or A&D industry
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Must be currently authorized to work in the country
What Would Be Nice To Have:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelors or Advanced degree in business, engineering, or related field
FIVE (5) or more years of experience in DoD or A&D production, acquisition, engineering and/or supply chain management
Experience supporting programs for DoD weapon systems to improve operational performance or drive cost reductions
Experience with lifecycle logistics planning and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations
Experience leading small client-facing teams through the lifecycle of a consulting engagement
Experience developing written communication materials for senior level clients
Ability to excel in a dynamic organization, adapting and responding quickly to new information and/or evolving requirements
Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
