What You Will Do:
The Energy & Environment groupwithin Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) practice supports federal energy clientsthroughstakeholder and community engagement, community benefits, strategic planning, research and analysis, and commercializationefforts.
As a Consultant on our team you will support broad engagement with stakeholders including federal, state, and local government agencies, local communities, tribal nations, industry, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, labor unions, and workforce development organizations.
Responsibilities include supportingclient staff by:
Developing stakeholder maps and engagement plans based on analysis of stakeholder sentiments
Preparing presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and other communications materials
Supporting public and private events including community briefings, webinars, and workshops
Tracking progress on stakeholder engagement and community benefits efforts
Conducting detailed research and analysis on trends in the hydrogen industry
Contributing to engagement strategy development
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Political Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, or related discipline
Minimum of oneto seven (1-7) years of experience
Strong interest and relevant experience in clean energy
Superior interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate as a part of team, as well as to work independently
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
Highly developed organizational and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
Must currently reside in the USA
Due to nature of client engagement, must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described
This role is a Hybrid role which will require you to go into the Arlington, VA, Guidehouse Office (or Client office in DC) up to three (3) days a week or on occasion
Ability to travel25% as needed
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Political Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, or related discipline
Clean energy communication and writing experience (journal articles, reports, presentations, etc.)
Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles of the Arlington, VA, Guidehouse Office
Experience with clean hydrogen (government, industry, non-profit, advocacy, etc.) and/or stakeholder engagement, particularly in the energy sector
Knowledge of federal energy programs
Experience with data managementand analysis
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel/Visual Basic application (VBA) experience
