What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist, Modeling Lead to join our AI & Data Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will lead modeling efforts, and help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. The individual will work with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). Our support enables our clients through mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduced cost and complexity, increased trust, and improved operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide data science, artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML), and analytics support to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program clients.
Develop data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide analytics insights (Qlik)
Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data using a variety of methods and tools, such as Python and R
Leverage data science platforms such as Databricks
Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met
Conducting data validation and remediation using tools such as R and Excel
Organizing and leading client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items
Summarizing and presenting information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).
Develop trusted relationships with clients at all levels of the organization to obtain a more complete perspective and understanding of our clients’ mission, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions and drive innovation in AI/ML and data science.
Support business development efforts (e.g., responding to RFPs/RFIs, developing white papers, creating pitch decks and capability briefings, etc.)
What You Will Need:
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
Bachelors Degree
THREE (3) or more years of experience in consulting, data analytics, or project management
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Active DHS Public Trust
Law Enforcement experience
Data visualization tools such as Qlik
Good critical thinking skills, writing skills, and communication skills
Experience with Databricks
Experience connecting visualization to various types of data sources
Experience developing training materials
