What You Will Do:

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the definition of a standardized unified grants process to support centralization and improvement of grants business functions and systems consolidation and enhancements.
  • Analyze existing grants processes against best practices and make recommendations on improved governance models.
  • Coordinate across numerous stakeholders to understand existing processes, establish equities, and gain buy in.
  • Recommend process requirements for the creation of tools to support unified grants processes.
  • Work with a team to design and execute solutions to improve grants management functions.
  • Develop training, and federal agency policy in relation to 2 CFR 200.
  • Write public facing materials to support the public with grants administration.
  • Develop work products, especially in Microsoft suite, that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for stakeholders across multiple organizational levels (e.g., executives, staff).
  • Designing and delivering on change management recommendations to clients.
  • Being adaptable to changing client requirements and asks.
  • Demonstrating an ability and desire to learn new skills, challenge yourself, and increase your capabilities and competencies.
  • Supporting team management with business development activities, including, but not limited to, proposal writing and client research.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to enable their growth and development.


What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university AND TEN (10) years of overall grants experience in internal / external client facing management consulting or execution positions with demonstrated experience supporting Federal clients; Or Master's degree from an accredited college/university AND SEVEN (7) years of overall grants experience in internal / external client facing management consulting or execution positions with demonstrated experience supporting Federal clients.
  • Experience working with the U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) or other federal agencies with comparable grants portfolio.
  • Knowledge of Federal grants management/legislation, and 2 CFR 200.
  • Certified Government Grants Manager (CGGM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant certification(s)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Local to the Washington D.C. market.
  • Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
  • No sponsorship is available for this position.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
