What You Will Do:
The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcasing the Guidehouse culture, and providing them with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.
Highlights of our Internship Program include:
10-week experience in Summer 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2 and run until Friday, August 8)
Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor Lead)
Mid-Point and Final Evaluations
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event
Networking & Social Activities and Events

Our Interns help our clients improve their business processes, internal controls, operating efficiency, transparency and performance management, and ability to comply with federal laws and regulations. During your assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant project challenges faced by federal clients. Guidehouse projects are extremely fluid and require self-motivated individuals willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients' senior management and enhance their skills in the areas of technical competency, business development, client service and people development.
Throughout the internship, you will have the chance to work with our internal teams on the assigned project/contract, meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development, and socialize with your fellow interns during outings/activities.
As an Intern responsibilities may include:
Assist with proofreading and formatting technical and policy documents.
Support the refresh and establishment of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Actively support and participate in cybersecurity consulting engagements and work with a team and the client to deliver the highest quality of work.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in IT general controls and cybersecurity.
Work across multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, concerns, and risks.
Analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently, work well in team environment.
Create high quality presentations and reports to effectively communicate project findings.

What You Will Need:
Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
Minimum Degree Status: Bachelor's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)
Ability to adhere to on-site work schedules in the DMV metro area as directed.
Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future; StudentspossessingF-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.
Ability to obtain andmaintaina Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance (US Citizenship is one of the requirements for security clearance).
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Degree concentration in Management/Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Health Information Technology, or related STEM majors is preferred
Demonstrated understanding of functional cybersecurity concepts like risk management, IT audit, or comparable domain.
Strong time and project management skills.
Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISA, CISSP, CEH)
Experience with managing/supporting and/or knowledge of cybersecurity or high value asset program.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with federal government clients

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
