What You Will Do:

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides Interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.

Highlights of our Internship Program include:

  • 10-week experience in Summer 2026 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 8 and run until Friday, August 14)
  • Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)
  • Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations
  • Networking & Social Activities and Events
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event
  • Intern Speaker Series
  • Staffing on active Guidehouse projects

Federal Civilian Agencies (FCA) interns support Federal clients to better meet their mission.  We work directly with our clients to develop innovative solutions that help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their organization.

As an intern, you will work in a team to create and present quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams.  You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to solve client challenges
  • Participate and lead meetings and clearly document meeting minutes and action items
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to draw conclusions (including the use of advanced data analytics where appropriate)
  • Work with a team to develop solutions to solve organizational challenges and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements
  • Communicate solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations
  • Support data collection activities to gain insight into an organization’s structure, processes, policies, technology, and culture. Data collection activities may include:
    • Research of client source documentation and industry leading practices
    • Client interviews including development of audience-specific interview protocols
    • Facilitation of client work groups and information sessions



What You Will Need:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Degree Status: Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027) 
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country
  • No current or future sponsorship is available for this position



What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a social science discipline with proven academic success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with economic and financial analysis and research
  • Proactive and independent work style
  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong interest in serving Federal clients within the civilian sector that have strong mission program
