Responsible for working with commercial and energy client organizations to employ Information/Operations Technology (IT/OT) as a catalyst for transformational change. Identify, target, and engage clients throughout the assess, capture, propose, and deliver sales cycle. Provide consulting, implementation and support capabilities to clients throughout their plan-build-operate technology lifecycle. Foster innovation through identification and evaluation of technologies relevant to client situation. Excel at internal collaboration across Guidehouse service lines and offerings to propose holistic solution sets for client challenges.
What You Will Do:
Report to a Guidehouse Director or Partner
Lead a small team (6-18) of consultants focused on IT/OT Strategy and Architecture service offering
Act as primary point of contact for IT/OT Strategy and Architecture service offerings for commercial and energy clients
Deliver direct client billable services to meet individual (65%) and team (85%) minimum utilization goals
Oversee and guide delivery of IT/OT Strategy and Architecture services of the team and engaged projects
Develop IT/OT Strategy and Architecture service/solution artifacts (guides, templates, processes, standards, procedures, checklists, methods, proposal materials, examples, models, accelerators, etc.)
Develop and publish IT/OT Strategy and Architecture thought leadership materials for internal and client consumption
Collaborate with other Guidehouse solution areas to ensure solution integration and support cross-selling opportunities
Advise and consult with client leadership and delivery personnel to advance Guidehouse services and solutions
Deliver architecture services and solutions directly to clients as an individual or as part of a larger architecture team
Advocate for the advancement of IT/OT Strategy and Architecture standards of practice and tools within Guidehouse
Lead, develop, or contribute to client pursuits and proposals
Provide technical or quality assurance reviews of Guidehouse client proposals
Vet technical resources for staffing internal proposal or external client delivery opportunities
What You Will Need:
Ability to pass federal/commercial background check (i.e. no felony arrest record, US Citizen)
Bachelor’s degree with a MINIMUM of EIGHT (8) years of relevant experience in IT/OT development, integration, and architecture experience in commercial IT/OT or consulting industry
A MINIMUM of FIVE (5) years of experience designing and deploying technology solutions in the Utility (electric, gas, water) industry
Working knowledge of IT/OT industry architecture frameworks, standards, and practices
Documented examples of thought leadership artifacts (i.e. white papers, articles, publications, conference proceedings)
Documented proposal or business development content writing references/examples
Ability to travel up to 50% in domestic U.S., up to 10% international.
Ability to travel to the closest Guidehouse Office as needed for in-person events.
Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Client relationships within Energy Providers client base in the utility industry
Industry relationships with technology providers and partners common to the utility industry
Industry certification in TOGAF frameworks and/or Platform Architecture (Appian, ServiceNow, etc.)
Industry certification in AWS or Azure Cloud architectures
Industry certification in Utility Security or Compliance or advanced understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding techniques
Preference will be given to candidates who reside within daily commute of a Guidehouse Office
Experience with Generative AI and RAG.
Experience with ITIL, Service Management.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups.
Strong organizational skills and understanding of the Project Management lifecycle.
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology.
Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype.
