What You Will Do:

Our finance management consultants help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization, including intra-governmental payments and collections, government-wide treasury account symbol reporting, annual financial reporting and helping to meet the ever-changing requirements of federal financial reporting.  This high performing team helps a federal CFO organization identify, design and implement improved processes that transform their finance function and provide lasting change by empowering the federal workforce to sustain improved operations.

This role will be part of a high-performing team helping a DOJ entity identify, design, and implement improved processes that transform their reimbursable agreement and reporting functions by providing internal controls, financial systems, and program operations support. The role entails testing/evaluating management practices and procedures with regards to sound internal controls and recommending/executing process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in federal financial accounting and knowledge of how to organize, review, and reconcile large amounts of accounting data, as this role will be primarily focused on building financial reports, reconciling data across multiple sources, and reviewing data sets to identify efficiencies and/or areas for improvement.


What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting-related work experience in federal financial management, auditing, or accounting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the full lifecycle of federal budget execution, accounting, and financial procedures from the establishment of authority to financial reporting and internal controls

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Accounting, Intra-Governmental activity, Federal USSGL, Budget Execution (Reimbursable Funding), and an understanding of GTAS, IPAC and CARS

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, clean, and make use of large volumes of accounting data from various systems


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • CPA, CGFM, PMP or related credential

  • Capabilities to support and manage teams to provide analytics, automation, and business intelligence services (i.e., SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps)

  • Experience with Federal Financial Management systems, specifically, CGI Momentum and business intelligence software (i.e., PowerBI, SQL)

  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards
