What You Will Do:
Guidehouse’s Medicaid managed care actuarial practice continues to grow. Come assist our team in developing capitation rates on behalf of States.
You will be:
- Providing financial analysis and projections
- Participating in and developing client presentations
What You Will Need:
Must be on the actuarial career path pursuing studies for actuarial certifications or with an underwriting or financial background
Minimum bachelor's degree or higher
This person must have 1-3 years of work experience to include the following:
Analyzing and summarizing data using spreadsheets
Knowledge of actuarial and statistical modeling techniques
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Some knowledge of Medicaid capitated rate-setting or health claims projections
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to draw complex conclusions from data
- Self-starter with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team
