What You Will Do:

Guidehouse Senior Consultants help our clients transform their business processes, develop and implement organizational strategies and cultural transformations, improve efficiency and operations, increase transparency and performance management, and comply with Federal laws and regulations. As a senior consultant, you will be a critical member of project teams, helping our clients solve complex public health and business challenges from strategy through execution. This includes conducting requirements gathering and strategy sessions with senior-level clients, designing and implementing solutions to support complex change and enhance organizational effectiveness, building trusted relationships with clients, and mentoring more junior staff.

As a Program Evaluation senior consultant, you will have an opportunity to deepen your specialized knowledge and strengthen your consulting skills, with room for long-term professional growth and career development within the firm. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, outcomes oriented, and capable and willing to develop solutions on their own and collaboratively as part of a team of highly skilled professionals. The ideal candidate can use evaluation data to inform strategy, problem-solve, communication program impact, and inform decision-making; demonstrates creative thinking skills and individual initiative; and possesses an innovative mindset and intellectual curiosity regarding industry and academic trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive evaluation plans for public health programs.

  • Manage and maintain large-scale datasets, ensuring data integrity and security.

  • Analyze and visualize data using R and Power BI to support program monitoring and decision-making.

  • Respond to data requests from multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, senior leaders, funders, and external partners.

  • Develop and deliver regular reports and presentations on program performance, outcomes, and impact.

  • Collaborate with program teams to identify/develop key performance indicators and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Provide technical assistance and training on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools, methodologies, and best practices.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health monitoring and evaluation.

  • Proficiency in R programming for data analysis and visualization.

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization platforms.

  • Strong understanding of evaluation frameworks, logic models, and performance measurement.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports for diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.

  • Experience working with federal or state public health agencies (i.e., CDC).

  • Familiarity with public health data governance and privacy standards.

  • Proficiency in additional data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
