What You Will Do:
We are searching for a Cell Biologist to support research at the Center for Alzherimer’s and Related Dementias by processing human tissue and cell lines, preparing sequencing libraries and analyzing data. This is a full-time opportunity located in Bethesda, MD
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.

  • Record research or operational data.

  • Interpret research or operational data.

  • Program and use computers to store, process, and analyze data.

  • Operate laboratory equipment to analyze samples.

  • Provide technical expertise to support biological research by studying fundamental principles of plant and animal life, including origin, development, structure, function, and environmental relationships.

  • Assist with planning, administering, and coordinating biological research programs in collaboration with scientists, technicians, external partners, and stakeholders to support cooperative research efforts.

  • Conduct and support laboratory experiments and field studies by collecting, monitoring, and analyzing biological data; record experimental results and assist with interpreting findings.

  • Analyze experimental data and prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation to inform research evaluation and scientific reporting.

  • Prepare, organize, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory samples, supplies, and analytical equipment to ensure accurate and reliable qualitative and quantitative analysis.

What You Will Need:

  • Master’s degree

  • Minimum of FOUR (4) years of experience in biology or a related field performing biological research functions in a research setting.

  • Demonstrates experience working in a laboratory environment.

  • Experience maintaining accurate and detailed records.

  • Demonstrates Knowledge of proper laboratory disposal methods and safety procedures

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Have Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification

  • Prior NIH experience

  • Background in Genetics, Neuroscience or Molecular Biology

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
