What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Grants Management Specialist to provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). This position is a full-time position located in Bethesda, Maryland, with potential for remote work (with approval), supporting federal staff in managing grant activities in accordance with NIH policies and federal regulations.

  • Support pre- and post-award grant activities, including application review, reporting, and administrative processing.

  • Prepare summaries, documentation, and correspondence for federal staff review.

  • Organize and maintain grant files, tracking tools, and financial/administrative records.

  • Identify missing information, compliance issues, and items requiring follow-up.

  • Assist with grant monitoring, closeout activities, and process improvement efforts.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of ONE (1) year of experience grants administration, financial analysis, or related field.

  • Knowledge of grants policies and regulations. 
  • Experience with grant lifecycle support (pre-award and post-award activities).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, and grant systems (e.g., IMPAC II, QVR or similar).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting federal grants programs, particularly within NIH or HHS environments.

  • Familiarity with grants funding analysis, cost/price analysis, and tracking tools.

  • Experience preparing administrative review summaries and supporting documentation for federal staff.

  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives related to grants management.

  • Knowledge of NIHGrants Policy Statement and 2 CFR Part 200.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence and reports.

The annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$94,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
