What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for an MRI Technologist to support the overall operational objectives of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) through the provision of support services. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD.
Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.
Properly position patients to provide quality imaging.
Maintain proper quality control procedures.
Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, management, peers and the public.
Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment.
Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies.
Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Exposure Plan policy.
Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam.
Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments.
Document work processes as required.
Perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with FOUR (4) years of specialized experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree
Completion of an accredited Radiology program.
Minimum of EIGHT (8) years of experience in MRI, preferably with Siemens MRI platform.
National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART).
Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
