What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for Patient Care Coordinators to support NIH clinical and research programs by coordinating patient-facing and administrative activities that contribute to high-quality care and research operations. The Patient Care Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth patient experience while supporting NIH program objectives. These full time, on-site positions are based on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD.

  • Coordinate patient-related activities to support efficient and high-quality care delivery

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams

  • Assist with scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination activities

  • Support patient intake processes, documentation, and record maintenance

  • Help ensure patients receive timely information and support throughout their care journey

  • Track patient interactions and care coordination activities using established systems

  • Adherent to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements

What You Will Need:

  • Associate degree

  • A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in patient coordination, healthcare administration, and/or clinical support roles

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach

  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, referrals, or care management processes

  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)

  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) or similar data systems

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience supporting diverse or complex patient populations

  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills

The annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$94,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
