What You Will Do:
We are searching fora ScientificPlatform Data Operations Managertosupport futureopportunities.The person in this role will leaddata acquisition, harmonization, processing, and integrityefforts on a variety ofscientific platforms to ensure reproducibility, compliant reporting, andsupporthigh-impact research.They will oversee the integration of diverse clinical and research data,manage secure analyticalenvironments,anddrive data quality and governance.Thisposition will bebasedinBethesda,MD.
Manage data flows between instruments and systems such as ELN, LIMS, data stores, visualization tools, etc.
Lead data harmonization for scientific platforms, oversee harmonization of diverse clinical and research data, ensure interoperability and consistency across platforms and instruments.
Operate tools such as Virscidian Analytical Studio and work with mass spectrometry, Waters Acquity UPLC.
Oversee data processing for Sound Analytics LeadScape, IonField Systems PurePLATE, Grenova TipNovus, UnionBio COPAS Vision Particle Sorter.
Develop data quality frameworks by implementing advanced data quality checks, metadata standards, lineage tracking, dashboards, and feedback mechanisms for platform data partners and users.
Ensure integrity and traceability through the building of dashboards, reports, and audit trails.
Support secure, scalable analytical environments to help build and manage infrastructure for secure, project-specific analytical workspaces while enabling granular data access and institutional control.
Integrate novel data types, facilitate integration of new data sources (e.g., geospatial, environmental) into platform workflows.
Provide technical leadership mentor team members, drive best practices, and translate scientific requirements into technical solutions.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field.
A minimum of TWO (2) years of platform or laboratory data management experience.
Deep experience with healthcare data models (OMOP, FHIR), clinical terminologies, and regulated environments (FISMA, HIPAA).
Experience with big data technologies, containerization, and workflow management systems.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R for data wrangling.
Experience with privacy-preserving record linkage (PPRL), federated data systems, and regulated environments (FISMA, HIPAA).
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Strong architectural mindset for designing scalable, reliable, and secure data platforms.
Familiarity with GxP, data integrity (ALCOA+), and file-based instrument data workflows.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and scalable infrastructure.
