What You Will Do:
The Patient Account Cashier will perform duties that of a cashier in the Hospital Business Office.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
The Cashier works closely with the billing, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
Receives and disburses money for services.
Operates cash registers and ensures accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions.
In retail setting, assists with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sales of merchandise.
Maintains clean and organized checkout area.
What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of prior relevant experience
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Healthcare experience in billing, revenue cycle, or medical cash posting
Knowledge of EOBs and ERAs
Data entry experience
Strong attention to details
Ability to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience with STAR / Waystar / Phreesia / EPIC
