What You Will Do:
Under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to the supervision of the customer service and self-pay collection functions of the UAB Business Office. Such duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensures the timely completion of assigned tasks on a consistent and reoccurring basis

  • Reviews the work of Collections, Estates and Bankruptcies (CEB) representatives

  • Provides training and feedback based upon reviews

  • Assists in administering policies, procedures and productivity standards

  • Proactively assists CEB supervisor and representatives in the completion of assigned tasks in order to ensure that the performance goals of the team are accomplished or exceeded

  • Maintains communication and availability in conjunction with the flexible scheduling of a remote staff

  • Proactively identifies and communicates issues to management in a timely manner

  • Performs other duties as requested by management.


What You Will Need:

  • Requires a University Degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of prior relevant experience in insurance and billing, banking ,collections, or legal field
