What You Will Do:

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of Guidehouse clients. Each intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.

Highlights of the Guidehouse Internship Program include:

  • 10-week experience in the Summer of 2026 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 1st and run until Friday, August 7th )

  • Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)

  • Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final Evaluations

  • Networking & Social Activities and Events

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern Event

  • Intern Speaker Series

  • Collaborative Group Projects

Guidehouse provides comprehensive and customer-centric solutions for clean energy programs including energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, energy storage, renewable energy, and sustainability programs. We help our clients visualize and identify market opportunities for clean energy programs and then work with them to build and strengthen those programs.

As a Guidehouse intern, you will work in a team to create and present client deliverables that support essential project workstreams.  You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Key responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Data analysis, technical engineering reviews, economic modeling, and/or primary data collection

  • Fact-finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities

  • Developing technology strategies for utilities, government, and energy companies

  • Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients and stakeholders

  • Analyze industry market data with a focus on how utility customers interact with and experience energy-related technologies and programs

  • Assessing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies through engineering analysis, energy modeling, and field work

  • Fact-finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities

  • Building and technology energy simulation modelling

  • Market research, literature reviews, and policy analysis


What You Will Need:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years

  • Minimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country

  • No current or future sponsorship is available for this position

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Engineering, Econometrics, Business, Social or Political Science, Environmental Studies, and/or related majors

  • Interest and/or experience in clean energy, energy efficiency, and/or sustainability

  • Experience conducting primary and secondary research such as surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups

  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team

  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills

  • Heightened attention to detail, with an inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

The annual salary range for this position is $59,000.00-$98,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
