What You Will Do:
The Strategic Communications & Outreach Specialist will support of a federal national security agency by planning and executing strategic communications and outreach activities that translate complex mission and technical concepts into clear, actionable messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies aligned to mission objectives
Produce executive‑level briefings, reports, presentations, and written materials
Plan and conduct external user and stakeholder briefings
Collect, synthesize, and communicate stakeholder feedback to internal teams
Ensure consistent messaging across threads, components, and partners
Translate technical content into accessible messaging for non‑technical audiences
Track effectiveness of communications and recommend improvements
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree
FOUR (4) or more years' experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and/or stakeholder engagement
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work directly with technical and executive audiences
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Intelligence Community or Department of Defense experience
Familiarity with JIRA or similar collaboration tools
Experience supporting classified environments
