What You Will Do:
1. Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations including planning, monitoring, directing, and evaluating team productivity.
- Ensure adherence to departmental and corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintain consistent workflow to meet delivery timelines and service level agreements.
- Address operational challenges (system issues, resource gaps, emergencies) and implement recovery plans to minimize disruptions.
- Actively participate in project launch activities and monitor progress during transition phases.
2. Work Allocation & Resource Management
- Develop and execute effective work allocation strategies.
- Optimize team capacity, including planning for backlog and surge volumes.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Manage a span of control of approximately 250–300 associates.
3. People Management
- Provide on-the-job support, coaching, and feedback to team members.
- Drive team engagement, collaboration, and team-building initiatives.
- Foster a positive and performance-driven work environment.
4. Performance Management
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators including productivity, quality, and turnaround time.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with team members.
- Support performance management processes including KRA setting, reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
- Demonstrate and drive achievement of performance targets across the team.
5. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with US clients, handle escalations, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to internal and client stakeholders.
- Communicate proactively with leadership regarding risks to delivery timelines.
6. Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including denial management.
- Expertise in handling Federal and Commercial payer mix.
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, ICD, and CPT codes related to denials.
- Working knowledge of PM’s like EPIC
7. Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and present internal and client performance reports.
- Identify workflow gaps, operational priorities, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct and support quality review meetings with the production team.
8. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement automation solutions and improve efficiency.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 15+ years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle, with strong exposure to AR operations and denial management.
- Proven experience in leading and managing large teams (250+ associates), including mentoring and performance management for at least 3+ years.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
