What You Will Do:
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day operations for the company’s financial systems platform with a primary focus on aligning systems to finance strategy, controls, and business process outcomes.
- Partner closely with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to identify process improvements and prioritize system changes that improve month end close, reconciliations, and data accuracy.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and third party vendors to prioritize enhancements, manage releases, and resolve production issues.
- Lead requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities for system enhancements and integrations.
- Coordinate cross functional teams, vendors, and managed services to manage releases, change management, training, and adoption across finance user communities.
- Monitor platform performance, manage incidents and change requests, and drive continuous improvement and automation to increase efficiency and data quality.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and training materials; mentor and coordinate technical and functional teams as needed.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of relevant experience OR 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) owning or managing financial systems or ERP/platforms in a business environment.
- Strong understanding of core financial processes (GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, reconciliations), their related internal controls, and how they map to systems.
- Familiarity with integrations, data modeling, and querying (e.g., SQL) or the ability to effectively partner with technical teams for these tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate finance requirements into system configurations and technical solutions, lead testing and deployment, and drive business change and adoption.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and compliance.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with major financial/ERP systems (for example, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, Workday Financials, SAP or similar SaaS platforms). Experience with Costpoint is a plus.
- Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, or finance/ERP related certifications, or an advanced degree.
- Experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Background working in large, matrixed organizations and managing vendor relationships or managed services.
