What You Will Do:

  • The State and Local Government practice provides individuals the opportunity to serve clients in the areas of: business design, organizational strategy, market analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, change management, compliance monitoring, and program management.  The application of this skill set within state and local governments is delivering compelling, high impact solutions to our clients' toughest business and technology problems. We translate strategy into action.

What You Will Need:

  • Understanding of State and Local policies and procedures.
  • Strong Knowledge of project management.
  • Critical thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client's management and operational challenges.
  • Proven abilities as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; participating in various staff recruitment and retention activities; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
  • Ability to 'quick start' account plan and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives.
  • Experience with Program Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Project Management or Business Process Improvement.
  • Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 7+ (SEVEN) years of relevant work experience

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • MBA, MPA or other master’s degree in Public Policy, Government, Political/Social Science, Information Systems, Operational Research, Management, International Development, Economics, Urban Science and/or related fields.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and quantitative skills, particularly building complex Excel models.
  • Familiarity with Stata, R, Python, and other programming languages.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success with key facets of state and local government, including economic development, education, sustainability, transportation, and/or administration.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
