What You Will Do:
This person will assist in applying common best practices in performing monitoring and auditing activities for various Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) models/programs. Specific responsibilities include:
Participate in and/or lead meetings, identify areas of improvements, determine audit or monitoring requirements and support audit or monitoring activities as needed.
Work closely with CMS model leads and project team to review participation agreements, document, update, and provide responses to model participants’ inquiries.
Develop or assist with development of various written reports or project documents.
Develop or assist with development of Standard Operating Procedures or Plans.
Gather, review, and update existing and/or new requirements, specifications, business processes, make recommendations as needed and lead or assist with implementation of those requirements.
Participate in the design, development, analysis, implementation/monitoring of system requirements and user testing, as needed.
Conduct or assist with qualitative and quantitative analysis, environmental scans to support the various CMS models monitoring needs.
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to gather business processes, business requirements, identify and mitigate gaps and coordinate Change Request process as needed.
Develop, update, and maintain excel trackers; use power queries to help support automation; apply business analytics skills to support the project as needed.
What You Will Need:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Pubic Health or other relevant field of study
Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in public policy, public health, compliance, audit, finance, accounting, analysis.
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience working with CMS
Experience working with CMS innovation models
Ability to gather, analyze, design, and implement Compliance/Audit Plans
Ability to leverage technology to create solutions for clients
Ability to produce deliverables and client engagement documentation related to executing successful compliance monitoring activities, by supporting the planning, development, and implementation of audit/compliance programs
Demonstrates ability to identify risks and executing business process controls reviews on large and complex programs in order to identify vulnerabilities
Demonstrates proven track record of success in identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor
Demonstrates proven abilities to work successfully as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to others
Experience conducting research and applying that knowledge towards completion of project deliverables
