The Energy Providers practice helps utilities and energy companies lead the way in an industry undergoing rapid transformation. As a Consultant, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects, both at client sites and within Guidehouse offices to deliver important engagements that drive tangible outcomes for our clients. A key function of a Consultant’s role is to create and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will conduct power market analysis and modeling, develop and implement strategies for energy transition, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights and recommendations, and prepare and present reports to stakeholders. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive impactful solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities for this position may include:
- Contributing to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools
- Performing comprehensive data analysis, technical engineering reviews, economic modeling, and primary data collection to support power market modeling and energy transition initiatives
- Conducting in-depth fact-finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client goals
- Preparing detailed, high-quality reports, presentations, and other documentation for client deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members
- Effectively and regularly engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate solutions, fostering strong relationships
- Working collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment that encourages growth and innovation
- Pursuing ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices
- Assisting in project management tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time

What You Will Need:
- Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree (Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in 2025 and graduate by Fall of 2026)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Degree/Majors Preferred: Engineering (Electrical, Power Systems, Mechanical), Physics, Economics, Math, Hard Sciences and/or related majors
- Academic course work with any of the following power systems engineering tools: PSLF / POWERWORLD Simulator/ PSSE / ASPEN / TARA/ CAPE / DSATools / PSCAD or EMPT
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to code and knowledge of coding languages such as R, Python, VA, SQL
- Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI technology tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Notation AI, Perplexity AI, etc.

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
