What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to take an active role in engagement execution and advisory projects. Managing Consultants help our clients transform their business processes, improve efficiency and operations, transform their organizational design, apply change management, adopt best practice in customer experience, develop and implement strategies, manage grant funds, and comply with Federal, State, and Local government laws and regulations.
As a Managing Consultant, you will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation, and overall delivery within your assigned workstream. You will be relied upon for project workstreams and interact with clients to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with clients and consulting leaders. Managing Consultants must prepare and communicate well-organized communications and presentations to clients and internal executives. Additionally, Managing Consultants will support business development efforts in the form of collecting proposal materials, drafting proposal content, and helping to prepare proposal presentations.

As a Managing Consultant, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience, helping our public sector clients solve complex issues from strategy to execution.
What You Will Need:
A minimum of FIVE (5+) years of overall work experience.
Experience working with State and Local Government and a strong general consulting background.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management
Experience in stakeholder engagement, project and program management, business development, working with cross functional teams, and strategy planning.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
Experience managing projects and junior to mid-level staff.
Must be willing to travel.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
MBA, MPA or other Master’s degree in public policy, Government, Political/Social Science, Information Systems, Operational Research, Management, International Development, Economics, Urban Science and/or related fields.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
