What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking Data Consultants who will provide data solutions (analysis, data engineering, data science etc.) to a Department of Defense client. The ideal candidate will perform technical tasks that include, but are not limited to, building data pipelines, developing visualizations and dashboards across multiple domain areas. These tasks will involve using advanced tools and technologies such as Python, R, SQL, and various data visualization platforms like Tableau and Power BI. The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring data integrity and security, adhering to best practices in data management, and staying updated with the latest trends in data analytics.

We are seeking candidates with the proven ability to work independently in converting business and functional requirements into data pipelines, complex reports, data visualizations, and/or predictive models. Additionally, we expect candidates to maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance the customer experience, and to have the ability to present and communicate information to clients that enable them to make data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the Department of Defense's operational environment. Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis will be highly advantageous.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • THREE (3) or more years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst or data engineer


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science or related field

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Experience with design and build of ETL programs, interfaces, and data reconciliation processes

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards for data consumers

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization
