What You Will Do:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Space-Based Interceptor Expertto support advanced missile defense initiatives, including integration with the Golden Domesystem. This role involves working at the cutting edge of space defense technologies, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of next-generation kinetic and directed-energy intercept systems.

  • Lead the design and systems integration of space-based interceptor platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interoperability with the Golden Dome and other layered defense systems.

  • Conduct threat analysis, simulation modeling, and performance assessments.

  • Provide technical leadership in the development of kill vehicle guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems.

  • Support mission planning, orbital mechanics analysis, and engagement strategies.

  • Interface with government stakeholders, defense contractors, and international partners.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.

  • Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" security clearance.

  • Bachelors Degree with a focus in a STEM field

  • TEN (10) or more years of experience in missile defense, aerospace systems, or space-based weapons platforms.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph.

  • Demonstrated experience the development testing space-based impactor and directed energy capabilities; includes mission design systems engineer, guidance and control and mission assurance in mission platforms.

  • Background in Guidance Navigation and Control, sensor integration, lethality modeling

  • Experience Advanced Defense platforms

  • Experience with integrated air and missile defense systems

  • Strong background in orbital mechanics, GNC, and space systems engineering.

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and classified program environments.

  • Experience with real-time simulation environments and digital twin technologies.

  • Prior work with Missile Defense Agency of United States Space Force.

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
