What you will do
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target databases and data warehouses.
- Collaborate with business analysts and other team members to understand "Business", data requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust and efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support ETL processes and data management needs.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data quality issues and performance bottlenecks within ETL jobs and database systems.
- Work closely with report developers and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and accuracy for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Document ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data integration processes and best practices.
- Work in Azure Datawarehouse solutions as a part of modernization
- Work on challenging and impactful data projects.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or any related field.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in ETL development, preferably with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle).
- Strong understanding of relational databases and database concepts, including data modelling and SQL programming (e.g., writing complex queries, stored procedures).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and principles.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Experience with Pentaho Business Analytics components (e.g., Pentaho Report Designer, Analyzer) for creating reports and dashboards.
- Exposure to other BI tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Java for advanced data manipulation or integration tasks.
- Familiarity with performance tuning techniques for databases and ETL processes.
