TheGuidehouseInternship ProgramstaffsInterns on real world projectsand/or internalGuidehouseinitiatives,showcasingtheGuidehouseculture and providing them with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support oftangible needs. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that canassistthem in navigating theirGuidehouseexperience.   

Highlights of our Internship Program include:   

  • 10-week experience in Summer 2026 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 8 and run until Friday, August 14)   

  • Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor Lead)

As anintern, you will joinGuidehouse’sAI and Datateama“horizontal”team dedicated todeliveringartificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analyticssolutionsto drive innovation and deliver impactfulvalueacrossGuidehouse’sPublic Sectorclientsegments:Defense & Security,Communities, Energy, and Infrastructure, Financial Services,and Health.The AI and Datateam has asub-team withineach segmentfocusedon applyingcutting-edgetechnologies and strategies to address the segment’smost complex and rapidly evolving challenges across a variety of domains. During your assignment,you’llcontribute to high-value initiatives, which may include internal innovation efforts or strategic projects, and gain hands-on experience with modern tools and methodologies.You’llcollaborate with experienced professionals, grow your technical capabilities, and help shape data-driven solutions that matter.

Throughout the internship, you will have the chance to work with our internal teams on the assigned project, meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development, and socialize with your fellowinterns during outings/activities.   

As anintern, you will work with an experienced team to support the developmentof anAIandData project,presentations, day-to-day projectlogistics, and anyadditionalproject tasks. This positionprovidesthe opportunityto learnabout a wide variety offunctions including strategy, process improvement, analytics, information technology, communications, and project management.

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years  

  • Minimum Degree Status: Undergraduate Degree or Graduate Degree (must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)  

  • Workingknowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.

  • Willingness to learn new technical skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other data scientists and adjacent roles. 

  • Ability to adhere to on-site work schedules in the DC metro area as directed. 

  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future; StudentspossessingF-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.

  • Ability to obtain andmaintaina Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance (US Citizenship is one of the requirements for security clearance).

What Would Be NiceToHave:

  • Degree Concentration: Technical field of study relevant to AI/ML and data science, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Information Science, Information Technology, etc.

  • Previousinternship or work experience 

  • Experience developing data science, predictive models, and AI solutions using tools such as Python or R.

  • Experience performing data engineering and data wrangling using tools such as Python. 

  • Experience performing data visualization using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Strong communicationand presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Ability to write technical process flows, diagrams, and model documentation.
