What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a hands-on Power Automate Senior Consultant to design, configure and develop custom solutions in Microsoft Power platform. The candidate will take an active role in leading the development of a custom Power Apps suite for the client in the Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will design and develop solutions to automate business processes. The candidate will have excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and client development skills to effectively present information to clients and senior level groups. The candidate should have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive Microsoft Power Platform implementations through all project phases including discovery, definition, build, test, and deploy

  • Automate business processes by delivering services and solutions for clients using Microsoft’s PowerApps, SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations

  • Serve as Microsoft Power Platform SME, with technical expertise including system architecture, solution design, system configuration, and security management

  • Conduct end-user training and create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation

  • Develop and continue to refine Power Platform implementation standards and tools

  • Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution

  • Summarize and present information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written) on best practices and optimal solutions

  • Help create design documentation for new solutions and functions

  • Communicate technical information to senior decision-makers and non-technical audiences

  • Handle and share data in compliance with proper security standards

  • Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are met

  • Work with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements to include gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes for an organization

  • Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following up on action items

  • Be proactive in staying up to date on the latest updates to the Power Platform, as well as future roadmap features announced in Microsoft’s wave plans

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • THREE (3) years of professional experience including TWO (2) years of Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM development experience

  • Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC metro region 3 days per week


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Power Platform experience, including Power Apps and Power Automate and experience in using OOTB connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate

  • Experience analyzing and defining system requirements

  • Strong understanding of design and data visualization best practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Experience developing new and re-designing existing processes to meet new and/or evolving business requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to management and client needs

  • Experience consulting for the Department of Defense or other Federal agencies

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks

  • Capability to manage multi-task projects

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and present topics to diverse groups of functional and technical staff

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization

  • Experience working with human capital-related data
