This role is responsible for translating program objectives into actionable technical plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, guiding methodological decisions, and ensuring timely, high‑quality, and compliant deliverables. The position emphasizes technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and mentorship, serving as the primary liaison between clients and analytic teams while driving consistency, reproducibility, and continuous improvement across analytics workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of complex public health analytics projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.

  • Translate client and program objectives into clear technical work plans, milestones, and deliverables, aligning analytic approaches with federal standards and stakeholder expectations.

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary teams of biostatisticians, epidemiologists, and data scientists, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, managing communications, expectations, and risk while facilitating timely decision‑making and issue resolution.

  • Guide methodological approaches and analytic strategy to ensure rigor, reproducibility, and consistency across projects without performing day‑to‑day analyses.

  • Oversee development and review of analytic outputs, dashboards, reports, and manuscripts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with CDC and data governance requirements.

  • Identify project risks and dependencies, proactively implement mitigation strategies, and adjust plans as needed to maintain delivery timelines.

  • Support mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of project management and analytics workflows across the organization.

What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Master’s degree is required

  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (e.g., biostatisticians, epidemiologists, data scientists, engineers) in a matrixed or consulting environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing or reviewing technical documentation, reports, or materials subject to client or federal review processes.

  • Experience working with public health, healthcare, or government clients and navigating data governance, compliance, and quality standards.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder technical or analytics projects, including responsibility for scope, timelines, deliverables, and risk management.

  • Strong understanding of advanced analytic and modeling approaches sufficient to guide methodology, review outputs, and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders (hands‑on analysis not required).

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
