What You Will Do:
The AFS Tool and Configuration Support Engineer will work closely with clients, solutions architects and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments to support client projects and provide solutions for growth efforts and capabilities build out.
Serve as a key member of the financial systems team, providing expertise in implementation and configuration of the AFS Vision system within commercial lending operations to ensure successful project delivery.
Act as the primary liaison between commercial lending operations and the technology team, interpreting business requirements for technical implementation and ensuring seamless system integration.
Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, addressing technical gaps and ensuring accurate system configuration.
Lead and facilitate workshops to ensure understanding of AFS Vision capabilities and how it supports commercial lending operations, driving alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Develop/Execute system configuration, design/configure and implement reporting structures, and develop product flow configurations and reporting specifications based on AFS data.
Support end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues during the AFS Vision implementation process to ensure optimal system performance.
What You Will Need:
US Citizen, Green Card or Green Card – EAD.
Bachelor's degree. Additional Four (4) years of experience will be needed in lieu of the degree.
Minimum of Four(4) years of IT experience.
Proven experience with AFS Vision implementation preferred; AFS experience with strong technical skills will also be considered.
Understanding of commercial lending operations, including loan processing, servicing, and reporting requirements.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate business requirements for technical teams with focus on financial systems implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot, resolve system issues, and streamline reporting processes.
Technical Competencies:
AFS Vision Expertise: Proficient in implementation and configuration of the AFS Vision system within commercial lending environments.
System Configuration: Experience with system configuration, technical specifications development, and reporting structure implementation.
Business Analysis: Ability to gather, define, and prioritize requirements for AFS Vision system, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Reporting Development: Experience in building reporting structures within AFS environments, leveraging AFS Level III or Vision capabilities.
Workshop Facilitation: Proven ability to lead workshops and facilitate stakeholder meetings for requirements gathering and system design.
Technical Translation: Strong skills in translating business needs into coding requirements and technical specifications.
Domain Knowledge:
Commercial Lending: Understanding of loan processing workflows, servicing operations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
AFS Systems: Hands-on experience with AFS platforms, data structures, and configuration capabilities.
Financial Operations: Knowledge of commercial lending products, risk management, and compliance requirements.
System Integration: Understanding of how AFS Vision integrates with other banking and lending systems.
Proven ability to work as primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
Experience developing product flow configurations and reporting specifications that meet business and regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on configuration and support position requiring the ability to implement, configure, and optimize AFS Vision systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical team members.
Proven track record of successful AFS system implementations with focus on commercial lending operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
AFS Vision certified implementation specialist.
AFS Level III certification or advanced AFS training.
Commercial lending systems certifications.
Experience with other commercial lending platforms (LoanIQ, Loan Performer, etc.).
Background in banking operations, credit risk, or loan portfolio management.
Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance in commercial lending.
Knowledge of data migration and system conversion processes.
Experience with SQL, database management, and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with API integrations and system interfaces.
Understanding of cloud-based financial systems and modern architecture patterns.
Experience with testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
