What You Will Do:
The DevOps Engineer will work closely with clients, digital leaders, solutions architects and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments to support client projects and provide solutions for growth efforts and capabilities build out.
Serve as a key member of DevOps team, creating and managing DevOps CI/CD pipelines, integration with observability platforms and use of IaC tools with knowledge of automation, security and network protocols.
Set up and manage build servers and deployment tools by configuring and maintaining tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI to automate the software delivery pipeline and ensure efficient code deployment.
Work collaboratively with development teams, infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient DevOps solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.
Configure and manage servers and infrastructure while implementing and managing automated testing frameworks to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure code quality.
Develop and maintain scripts for automation, perform root cause analysis of production errors, and create technical documentation with processes and procedures.
Support infrastructure automation and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code tools and modern DevOps methodologies.
What You Will Need:
US Citizenship, Green Card, Green card – EAD
Bachelor's degree. Additional Four (4) years of experience will be needed in lieu of degree.
Four (4)+ experience as DevOps Engineer.
Prior experience in creating and managing DevOps CI/CD pipelines, integration with observability platforms and use of IaC tools.
Knowledge of automation, security and network protocols with hands-on DevOps implementation experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis of production errors and system issues.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery processes.
Technical Requirements:
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in private cloud services including infrastructure (VM and containers) and software development services.
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for automating code integration and deployment.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana and integration with enterprise logging platforms for monitoring and logging.
Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go for automating tasks and workflows.
Security: Understanding of security best practices and tools for DevSecOps, including code analysis, vulnerability assessment, and threat investigation.
Version Control: Experience with Git for version co.ntrol and collaborative code management.
Core Competencies:
Build and Deployment Management: Experience setting up and managing build servers and deployment tools for automated software delivery.
Server and Infrastructure Configuration: Proven ability to configure and manage servers and infrastructure using automation tools.
Testing Integration: Experience implementing and managing automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines.
Documentation: Strong technical writing skills for creating processes and procedures documentation.
Production Support: Experience with production error analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
Process Improvement: Ability to identify and implement improvements to DevOps processes and workflows.
This is a hands-on DevOps engineering position requiring the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure.
Proven ability to integrate security practices into DevOps workflows and implement DevSecOps methodologies.
