What You Will Do:

The Platform Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with clients, solutions architects and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments to support client projects and provide solutions for growth efforts and capabilities build out.

• Serve as a key member of the platform infrastructure team, providing expertise in designing, building, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports loan platforms and services for reliability, scalability, and security.

• Lead infrastructure design and implementation including selecting appropriate hardware and software, configuring networking and storage, and establishing security policies for loan platform environments.

• Work collaboratively with development teams, operations teams, security specialists, and business stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient platform infrastructure that satisfies functional and non-functional requirements.

• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, reducing manual intervention and ensuring consistent, repeatable deployments.

• Build and maintain internal developer platforms (IDPs) and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery and platform operations.

• Ensure system scaling and performance optimization to handle increasing workloads and meet user demands while maintaining platform reliability.

What You Will Need:

• US Citizen, Green Card or Green Card – EAD 

• Bachelor's degree. Additional Four (4) years of experience will be needed in lieu of the degree.

• Prior experience in designing, building, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports loan platforms and services.

• Proficiency in loan products/platform infrastructure with understanding of financial services technology requirements.

• Deep understanding of private and public cloud platforms with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.

Technical Requirements:

• Cloud Computing: Deep understanding of private and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with experience in multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Servers/Storage: Experience with VMs, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and storage solutions for enterprise-scale platforms.

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.

• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python or Java for automation, scripting, and infrastructure management.

Core Competencies:

• Infrastructure Design: Experience with infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, and scalability design for loan platforms.

• Automation and Orchestration: Expertise in automating infrastructure processes and orchestrating complex deployments.

• Developer Platform: Experience building and maintaining internal developer platforms (IDPs) to support development teams.

• System Scaling and Performance: Proven ability to ensure infrastructure can handle increasing workloads and optimize performance.

• Security and Compliance: Knowledge of implementing security best practices and compliance requirements for financial services.

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and resolving system issues proactively.

• This is a hands-on infrastructure engineering position requiring the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex platform infrastructure.

• Proven ability to work effectively with development and operations teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between infrastructure and application teams.

• Experience with system scaling, performance optimization, and capacity planning for high-availability loan platforms.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effectively communicating with development and operations teams.

• Proven track record of implementing security best practices and maintaining compliance in financial services environments.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Or Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert .

• Terraform or Ansible certifications.

• Experience with network security, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Financial Services Experience preferred.
