What You Will Do:
The Senior Network Administrator will do the following:

  • User Account creation, maintenance, and termination

  • Workstation and server updates

  • Maintain Network integrity using a firewall, proxy server, and web filter. This includes updating firmware and software for all servers and firewall devices

  • Troubleshoot and make the necessary adjustments in network operating system, software, and hardware

  • Evaluate network performance using hardware and software diagnostic tools

  • Assist users in maintaining client integrity, this includes software updates and system changes

  • Client maintenance and updates (laptop and desktop)

  • Maintain network infrastructure, including cabling, managing switches, routers and firewalls (both hardware and software). Most network components are Cisco Systems, D-Link, and Linksys

  • Administer a wireless network

  • Perform network upgrades (planning and deployment)

  • Report on rule violations, network problems, and usage using current analytical tools

  • Maintain the domain security and application logs

  • Assist all training units with class set-up and configuration when the class involves an internet connection, whether at the client site or off site locations

  • Submit requests/paperwork to procure equipment and software to properly administer the Internet Network to the Administrative Officer

  • Manage multiple classrooms of internet workstations

  • Assist with procurements by working with acquisition personnel to obtain and review vendor quotes.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust

  • Bachelors degree

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in hardware, software, firmware, or engineering techniques and theories

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experienced in using cryptocurrencies and the darknet.

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Credential

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
