What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Revenue Integrity leader for our Healthcare Financial Transformation Solution to support and lead complex performance improvement engagements across large healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and physician enterprises. This individual will bring deep revenue cycle expertise—particularly in charge capture optimization and Epic EMR workflows—and will independently manage projects, teams, and senior client relationships.
This role requires a seasoned consulting professional who can operate with autonomy, lead executive-level discussions, deliver high-quality final reports, and drive measurable financial improvement. In addition to client delivery, the Associate Director will contribute to developing internal solutions and maturing the firm’s Revenue Integrity methodology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end Revenue Integrity and financial transformation engagements, owning project scope, workplans, financial impact, and deliverables.
- Drive charge capture optimization initiatives, leveraging expertise in Epic EMR workflows (e.g., charge router, work queues, reconciliation processes) and revenue cycle operations.
- Identify and remediate revenue leakage across clinical, operational, and financial processes.
- Facilitate executive steering committees and present findings and recommendations to CFOs, COOs, Revenue Cycle leaders, and other senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable strategies with quantifiable impact.
- Manage and mentor consulting teams, ensuring high-quality work product and strong team development.
- Develop Statements of Work, project plans, and support proposal development and client pursuits.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth.
- Contribute to building and refining the firm’s Revenue Integrity frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree
- 8+ years (minimum) of recent experience working within in a large healthcare provider setting focused on performance improvement labor and nonlabor optimization, clinical operations and beyond, much of which is at the management level
- 5+ years delivering programs in a consulting or consulting like environment; driving complex, multi-faceted, multi-site, application/operational change/improvement programs with annual budgets of $10 million plus (30 + resources)
- Excellent financial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading complex projects with multiple workstreams
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Masters degree strongly preferred
- Flexible, positive, clear interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information at all levels internally, as well as with a provider based, client departments, including, but not limited to, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, hospital executives, and other professional and ancillary staff
- Ability to develop and monitor performance metrics at all levels of operations both clinical and nonclinical
- 10+ years rigorous project/program management leadership of complex provider deliverables with 5 of those years in larger provider systems
- Adroit use of methodology and leadership within the project management setting; PMO experience or PMP certification is a plus
- Knowledge of and familiarity with IT solutions and tech-enabled solutions which are integral to enabling efficiency and appropriate to quality and throughput of care
- Capacity to adapt and lead others to understand and accept values, strategies, goals and plans in response to changing business conditions
