What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the modernization and sunsetting of legacy document management systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring. The Business Analyst will work closely with VA stakeholders to track progress, identify risks, and ensure successful transition from legacy systems.

  • Develop and execute a plan to eliminate the remaining work queues in a legacy document management system, excluding the “ClaimsXM reopen” queue.
  • Monitor progress of the legacy system sunsetting effort for all remaining work queues.
  • Report any delays, roadblocks, or risks to successful sunsetting to project leadership.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and document business processes.
  • Apply structured business architecture methodologies to align strategic goals with operational execution.
  • Identify external entities and internal roles involved in business processes and document their interactions.
  • Support the definition and documentation of enterprise goals, metrics, and governance structures.
  • Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.
  • Identify external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
  • Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
  • Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
  • Develop a business architecture strategy based on healthcare situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
  • Align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding healthcare products and services, partners and suppliers, providers, organization, capabilities, and key business and IT initiatives.
  • Perform tasks which structure the healthcare enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience structuring healthcare enterprises in terms of governance, business processes, and information flows.
  • Ability to align strategic goals with decisions regarding healthcare services, partners, and IT initiatives.
  • Familiarity with capturing tactical and strategic enterprise goals and mapping them to performance metrics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with Veterans Affairs business architecture

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
