We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cybersecurity Leader to drive strategic growth and operational excellence in our financial services consulting practice. This role is pivotal in shaping client engagements, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering transformative cybersecurity solutions to banks, insurers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.

What You Will Do:

Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to financial services clients, including banks, investment firms, and insurance providers.

  • Lead the development and execution of cybersecurity strategies focused on risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and digital trust.

  • Cultivate long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for growth and innovation in cyber risk, resilience, and digital identity.

  • Identify emerging cybersecurity technologies and services relevant to the financial sector (e.g., zero trust, cloud security, threat intelligence).

  • Ensure the practice meets success metrics including sales, utilization, margin, and delivery excellence.

Engagement Oversight

  • Oversee complex cybersecurity consulting engagements from initiation through delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

  • Guide teams in the design and implementation of solutions in areas such as cyber risk management, incident response, cloud security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, NYDFS).

  • Ensure alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals serving financial services clients across commercial and public sectors.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new talent, including senior consultants and subject matter experts.

Thought Leadership & Innovation

  • Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital through white papers, presentations, and participation in industry forums.

  • Stay abreast of cybersecurity trends, threat landscapes, and regulatory changes to inform client solutions and firm strategy.

  • Represent the firm at industry-specific conferences, panels, and podcasts on cybersecurity topics.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Drive practice-level financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and resource utilization.

  • Ensure high-quality and profitable delivery of cybersecurity solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or leadership roles within the financial services industry.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale cybersecurity transformation initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of financial services operations, regulatory environments, and cyber risk frameworks.

  • Strong business acumen and client relationship management skills.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Business, or related field preferred.

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience leading cybersecurity sales and delivery teams at a top-tier consulting or technology firm.

  • Familiarity with co-selling motions and building joint solutions with cloud providers or cybersecurity vendors.

  • Technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security).

  • Experience working with federal or state financial regulators.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity analytics platforms and threat intelligence tools.

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or Lean Six Sigma.

  • Published thought leadership in cybersecurity journals or industry forums.

The annual salary range for this position is $270,000.00-$450,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
