What You Will Do:
The primary purpose of the Financial Services Growth Team is to help our clients solve their most important and complex challenges, by bringing the clients to Guidehouse and the best of Guidehouse to our clients. This includes building long-term sustainable client relationships with account executives and understanding their business issues, that ultimately help generate new business opportunities. In this position, the Sales and Growth leader for Financial Services (FS) will collaborate with the FS Segment leader and practice leads for Commercial FS and Government FS, to develop and implement a strategy that achieves segment financial targets, ensures the health, integrity, and accuracy of the pipeline, leads the sales team to achieve individual and team goals, and drives strategic growth at the segment level.
Key elements of the role include:
Sales Management
- Oversee, manage, and help build FS segment pipeline, including sufficient growth to meet overall annual segment growth objectives and aspirational goals.
- Establish and drive recurring sales and pipeline meetings and reviews as needed to maintain optimal sales activity, improve probability of win, and drive growth.
- Drive sales focus on priority initiatives through effective use of sales metrics and analytics.
- Maximize contract vehicle use.
- Act as liaison for Sales Operations on pipeline accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with market intelligence/competitive intelligence team to monitor market and competitor activity.
- Drive offerings campaigns to bring the best of Guidehouse to our clients.
Team Building
- Collaborate across the firm to bring the best of Guidehouse to our clients, including across segments, horizontals, and Advanced Solutions.
- Manage Financial Services CRE/BD team, including recruiting, onboarding, professional development, priorities, and performance monitoring.
- Mentor, train, coach, and build best-in-class sales practices across the segment to create a sales culture.
- Drive, develop, and implement sales trainings and process improvements.
- Support segment culture and people engagement through championing wins, strategic communications, and client connections with Guidehouse leaders and staff.
Personal Contributions
- World-class sales skills honed at the largest and most complex public sector and commercial clients.
- Provide & create a high energy environment among FS staff that drives enthusiasm, optimism and a relentless pursuit to solve client problems, win deals and achieve targeted metrics.
- Player/coach to oversee sales and engage on large, strategic financial services deals.
- Develop and maintain financial services senior client relationships.
- Leverage personal professional network to extend and strengthen Guidehouse brand and identify market opportunities. Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the point of contact for developing and guiding financial services peak account planning.
- Oversee and drive segment brand and general marketing strategy to raise improve Guidehouse market visibility and positioning.
- Formalize Financial Services segment-specific solutions and go-to-market approach to achieve growth targets for corporate growth initiatives.
- Serve on Sales Leadership Team to proactively identify opportunities for growth and share best practices.
- Engage sales enablement resources for relevant opportunities (ITG, capture, MI/CI, etc.)
What You Will Need:
- 15+ years of demonstrated successful professional services sales experience with the majority and most recent focus in Financial Services.
- In depth understanding of the Financial Services segment’s market dynamics and trends, competitive landscape, and existing and emerging customer needs.
- Ability to drive big-picture Financial Services Segment market strategy as well as drive tactical best practices on individual deals.
- Strong visionary leadership skills to inspire and drive segment leaders and teams.
- Trusted advisor and Activator to Financial Services clients and internal stakeholders and must demonstrate a high degree of thought leadership and sales affinity that results in year-in-year-out net new sales.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, demonstrating expert teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proven expertise growing management and technology consulting business. • Deep sales acumen in commercial and public sector (federal sales).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Track record of developing and implementing growth strategies for the Financial Services Segment.
- Executive presence and gravitas.
- Demonstrate you can work with other Executives across the enterprise—be able to think.
- Clearly demonstrated business development and selling experience with repeated $10M+ results.
- Skilled at issue-based problem-solving, aligning consulting solutions to address client needs.
- Able to travel per client and organizational demands (dependent on segment and account; travel could be up to 80%).
- Bachelor's Degree in accredited US University or College or equivalent
