The Health Segment Technology Lead (STL) is the senior-most technology executive within the Guidehouse health industry segment. This leader is accountable for driving technology growth, aligning segment-specific strategy, and ensuring delivery excellence. The STL acts as a CTO-equivalent for the segment, bringing deep industry expertise, fostering ecosystem relationships, and ensuring the health and maturity of the technology practice.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Leadership & Alignment

  • Define and execute the technology strategy in collaboration with Segment and Practice Leads.

  • Align segment technology goals with firmwide capability strategies and client needs.

  • Serve as the industry-facing technology luminary, representing the company in client and market forums.

Sales & Growth Enablement

  • Partner with the Technology Growth Lead to manage all technology opportunities within the segment.

  • Oversee pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and capture strategy.

  • Support Technology Account Leads (TALs) and Practice Area Technology Leads (PATLs) in achieving sales and revenue targets.

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, pre-sales, and proposal development.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale technology engagements and managing revenue targets (e.g., >$7M/year).

Talent & Practice Health

  • Maintain a healthy and scalable technology practice by working closely with Capability Leads on recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent.

  • Ensure a balanced talent lifecycle, including succession planning and healthy turnover.

  • Serve as People Manager for PATLs and provide performance input for TALs.

  • Familiarity with tools and processes for aligning hiring with strategic priorities and capability fit.

Ecosystem & Relationship Management

  • Foster and manage key relationships with strategic ecosystem partners (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce, AWS).

  • Co-develop solutions and drive joint go-to-market efforts.

  • Accountable for ecosystem alignment across practices and accounts to maximize value and innovation.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

  • Act as a visible industry thought leader through publications, speaking engagements, and client advisory roles.

  • Elevate the company’s brand and credibility in the segment through innovation and industry-relevant solution leadership.

  • Promote human-centric transformation, leadership development, and strategic workforce planning.


What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within consulting or professional services.

  • Proven ability to define and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining top technology talent, including succession planning and performance management.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, including pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and proposal development.

  • Ability to foster and manage strategic partnerships with ecosystem partners to co-develop solutions and drive joint go-to-market efforts.

  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with experience representing organizations in client and industry forums.

  • Strong thought leadership demonstrated through publications, speaking engagements, and advisory roles.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience managing large-scale technology engagements with revenue targets exceeding $7M annually.

The annual salary range for this position is $270,000.00-$450,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
