Clearance Required:

What You Will Do:

Guidehouse Health is seeking a Solution Architect to partner with Product Managers in delivering AI- and data-enabled solutions that improve healthcare outcomes.

As a "companion" leader to the Product Manager, you will serve as the technical authority for the project. While the Product Manager owns the "what" and "why" (roadmap and user stories), you will own the "how" - architecting scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Guidehouse technical standards, creating new standards when needed, and leading the engineering team through execution. This role requires a balance of high-level architectural design and hands-on coding leadership

Key Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Architecture

  • System Design: Architect end-to-end cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.

  • Stack Ownership: Define and enforce patterns for the full stack, specifically ReactJS (Frontend), Python FastAPI (Backend), and Databricks Data Lakehouse (Data Layer).

  • Feasibility Analysis: Partner with the Product Manager during requirements sessions to assess technical feasibility, estimate complexity, and propose architectural trade-offs.

  • Data Strategy: Design data models and pipelines within the Databricks Lakehouse architecture to support high-performance analytics and AI workloads.

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

  • Technical Governance: Maintain code quality standards, oversee pull requests (PRs), and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).

  • Agile Partnership: collaborate with the Product Manager (who acts as Scrum Master) to refine the backlog, ensuring user stories have clear technical acceptance criteria.

  • Team Enablement: Mentor developers and data engineers, removing technical blockers to enable high-performing cross-functional teams.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify technical risks (e.g., security vulnerabilities, technical debt, scalability bottlenecks) and implement mitigation strategies.

Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Technical Advisory: Serve as the primary technical contact for client IT leadership, building trust through technical expertise and delivery reliability.

  • Translation: Translate complex technical concepts (like Lakehouse architecture or AI model deployment) into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all technical solutions adhere to strict healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) and governance standards.

What You Will Need:

  • A minimum of FIVE (5) years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting.

  • A Bachelor's degree is required

  • US Citizenship or a Green Card is required

  • Cloud Expertise: Deep proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Entra ID).

  • Full Stack Development: Strong hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS/TypeScript).

  • Agile Delivery: Demonstrated success working in agile delivery environments, including backlog management and sprint execution.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Healthcare Domain: Experience delivering solutions in healthcare, public health, or federal health IT programs.

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Snowflake SnowPro or similar technical credentials.

  • AI/ML Integration: Experience integrating AI models (LLMs, predictive models) into production web applications.

  • DevOps: Experience setting up Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) and automated deployment pipelines.

The annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00-$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
