What You Will Do:
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintainMicrosoft SQL Serverenvironments (2005–2016) acrossProduction, Test, and Development.
Administer and supportOracle databases (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c)on Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
Proactivelymonitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning to ensure availability, security, and optimal system performance.
Analyze and resolveperformance bottlenecks, including locking, blocking, deadlocks, index fragmentation, and slow-running queries.
PerformT‑SQL performance tuning, code reviews, and optimization; collaborate closely with application and development teams.
Manage and testbackup, restore, and Point‑in‑Time Recoveryprocesses aligned with RTO and RPO requirements.
Lead and supportSQL Server upgrades and migrationsfrom legacy versions.
AdministerTempDB configuration, database compression, and overall database optimization.
Implement and enforcedatabase security best practices, including user access, encryption, TDE, auditing, data masking, and compliance monitoring.
Design, develop, deploy, and maintainSSIS/ETL solutionsusing SSDT/BIDS, SSIS, BCP, and Import/Export tools.
Configure and maintainSQL Server Agent jobs, alerts, maintenance plans, and Database Mail.
Support and administerSSRSenvironments as needed.
Collaborate with data modelers and architects onlogical and physical database designand implementation.
Maintain accuratedatabase documentation, including data standards, procedures, data dictionaries, and models.
Utilize monitoring and ticketing tools to manage incidents, changes, and service requests in accordance with SLAs.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or additional four (4) years of exp in lieu of degree.
Minimum Four (4) years of experience with Database Administration.
Strong hands-on experience as aDatabase Administratorsupporting enterpriseSQL Serverenvironments.
Proven expertise inT‑SQL development and optimization, including stored procedures, indexes, UDFs, CTEs, triggers, and complex queries.
Solid experience administeringOracle databases, includingRMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and OEM.
Demonstrated experience indatabase performance tuningusing tools such as AWR, ADDM, Statspack, and SQL Server native utilities.
In-depth knowledge ofRDBMS concepts, data modeling, and database architecture.
Strong experience withHA/DR architecturesand business continuity planning.
Hands-on experience withbackup/recovery strategies, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.
Experience applyingservice packs, cumulative updates, patches, and hotfixes.
Familiarity withSDLC processesand working in Agile or traditional development environments.
Experience usingenterprise monitoring and management tools(e.g., Redgate, SolarWinds, Erwin, Toad).
Experience working withticketing systemssuch as Remedy or Jira.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.

Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience withAzure SQL Databaseor cloud-based database platforms.
Exposure toDevOps or CI/CD practicesfor database deployments.
Experience supportinglarge-scale, mission-critical systemsin regulated or highly available environments.
Prior experience mentoring junior DBAs or leading database initiatives.
Familiarity withdata governance, compliance, and auditing standards.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DBA) are a plus.
