What You Will Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of a Fraud Operations team.
  • Oversee team performance regarding production, SLAs, problem solving and quality.
  • Monitor, manage and communicate production metrics on an individual and team level across project resources.
  • Analyze data and leverage fraud tools to identify emerging risks, including but not limited to identity theft, credential stuffing attacks, fraud rings, and data compromise situations.

  • Support Managers and senior leadership with service delivery efforts, such as tracking key performance indicators, developing training materials, and evaluating performance, as appropriate.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of team’s work product in accordance with client QA expectations.
  • Determine whether fraudulent activity is present across customer products and profiles.
  • Respectfully and collaboratively work with various stakeholders to resolve system problems, request additional information and/or documentation to support a decision on whether fraudulent activity has occurred.
  • Open and prepare suspected fraud cases in line with operational policies and procedures, which includes applying consistent and well-documented analysis aligned with client and industry standards to ensure consistent decision-making for actions made against customer accounts.
  • Take necessary account actions once fraudulent activity has been identified. Which may include placing accounts on hold, following up with customers and ensuring all actions are done in a timely manner and in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance to analysts based on client expectations and prior subject matter experience.
  • Lead training efforts to ensure consistency and quality across the team through large and small group meetings and 1-on-1 discussions.
  • Consistently monitor the assigned team for effectiveness and efficiency and target areas of weakness.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and champion team members to grow in their careers
  • Other ad hoc project responsibilities, as needed.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services or related industries.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of people management experience with a proven track record of strong leadership skills.
  • Experience with and comfortable in leading and developing a high functioning operational fraud team of 10+ agents.
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for patterns and trends and to take findings and communicate them in an effective manner.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized. 
  • Skilled at monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing account activity to identify fraud or suspicious activity.
  • Strong understanding of bank operations including but not limited to navigating banking systems, understanding, and interpreting customer transactions.
  • Strong understanding of the customer service experience.
  • Ability to research and make appropriate decision regarding complex cases.
  • Ability to work some rotating holidays.
  • The ability to work in a production driven environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite Products.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new policies, procedures, and vendor systems.
  • Ability to deliver clear, constructive feedback and driving both individual and team performance.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) reporting thresholds.  
  • Experience drafting and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • CAMS, CFE certification.
