What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Business Solutions Strategy Consultant to support business development and solutioning efforts across our State and Local Government practice. This role will help shape and present technical solutions during early-stage engagements and procurement processes, ensuring our offerings align with client needs, platform capabilities, and delivery feasibility.

The Business Solutions Strategy Consultant will work closely with internal client service leaders, technical teams, delivery staff, and vendor partners to support proposals, demonstrations, and pursuit materials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable translating functional and technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and contributing to Guidehouse’s growing portfolio of modernization and platform-based services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with pursuit teams to understand client goals and develop tailored solution approaches based on known requirements or RFP content.
  • Support proposal writing, orals preparation, and live client demos with technical insights, product knowledge, and architecture narratives.
  • Partner with delivery leads and platform specialists to validate that proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with Guidehouse implementation methods.
  • Facilitate working sessions with clients and vendors to gather requirements, explore solution options, and document technical assumptions.
  • Maintain knowledge of platform capabilities (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Platform) and provide input into how configurations or licensing affect solution approach.
  • Create and manage solution documentation including integration flow diagrams, functional use cases, and high-level architecture visuals.
  • Coordinate across platform vendors, product partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment on scoping, dependencies, and platform positioning.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and asset development efforts to improve the solutioning process and build reusable pursuit materials.
  • Have broad technical understanding and the ability to tie business problems to technical solutions
  • Ability to built, define, or contribute to scope, levels of effort, and rough orders of magnitude for work to be done
  • Ability to parse technical from business requirements and workflows, working across teams to help achieve both
  • Ability to help balance vision with priorities to achieve short- and long-term goals and know the difference between foundation building and long-term transformation


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.
  • 5+ years of overall work experience with a background in consulting, systems integration, technical sales, or solution development roles.
  • Strong understanding of modern enterprise platforms, including at least one of the following: Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to support pre-sales or solution design activities, including contributing to proposals, diagrams, or technical demonstrations.
  • Ability to interpret and translate client requirements into solution narratives, visualizations, and implementation strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with comfort presenting to and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Experience supporting public sector proposals or participating in state/local government procurement efforts.
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystems and platform-specific licensing models.
  • Experience developing or contributing to statements of work, level-of-effort estimates, or solution pricing.
  • Exposure to agile or hybrid delivery models and understanding of platform implementation phases.
  • Comfort working in highly collaborative, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
