What You Will Do:
Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs ultimately producing clear proposals, documentation, and/or deliverables.
Document requirements and business workflows.
Facilitate discussions with the right stakeholders to clarify the scope.
Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business use cases into actionable tasks for the development team.
Write user stories.
Ensure stories and tasks are complete prior to sprint planning.
Apply analysis of business systems and software solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes for both current and future business needs.
Lead and executes efforts to produce documentation related to system information architecture and processes which may include technical requirements, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, high-level test cases, requirements traceability matrices, flow charts, wireframes/mockups, user stories, and use case documentation.
Conduct presentations and communicates product features to both technical and non-technical communities and aids in the coordination and communication of cross-team initiative
Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.
What You Will Need:
BA/ BS Degree. Degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience.
4-6 years of IT experience.
Experience as Business Analyst.
Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and customer needs, producing clear stories and documentation.
Ability to communicate complex technical problems to a non-technical audience.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Conducts presentations and communicates product features to both technical and non-technical communities and aids in the coordination and communication of cross-team initiatives.
Candidate must pass govt background investigation.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience with JIRA.
Experience with federal government systems.
Experience as Agile Practitioner
