What You Will Do:

Software / Web Developer will support a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) CIO-T office with managing enterprise level websites and customize applications. Regular duties will include:

  • Provide website development and database management support to NGA.

  • Administer, maintain, develop, and websites, web applications, application databases, and interactive web interfaces.

  • Optimize website performance, scalability, with client and server-side code.

  • Develop and implement websites, web applications, and interactive web interfaces based on the NGA Design System or protocols.

  • Evaluate code to ensure that it is properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers and devices.

  • Optimize website performance, scalability, and server-side code and processes.

  • Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements.

  • Analyze and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs.

  • Design, create, test, and maintain software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements.

  • Follow a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and also adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant).

  • Design and develop visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.

  • Develop and maintain software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades.

  • Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle.

  • Interpret descriptions of user requirements and design software applications and services that satisfy them.

  • Collaborate with designers to take their ideas and concepts and make them a reality through code.

  • Coordinate with project managers to determine deadlines and milestones for a given project.

  • Develop APIs and RESTful protocols that allow two software programs to communicate with one another.

  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimization across a wide variety of different web platforms.

  • Build, test, and deploy applications and services using compiled or interpreted software development languages and enterprise platforms and systems.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications and services. Review and critique code written by other developers.

  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinating software development.

  • Documentation, testing, and debugging software in an agile environment.

  • Leverage platform services to improve deployment efficiency.

  • Submit requirements within Service+ for any compute, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning to be fulfilled by the UDS contractor.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal with DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

  • TEN (10) years of professional working experience with at least FOUR (4) or more years of experience in Software/ Web Development

  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies, DevSecOps Pipeline, CI/CD process

  • Understanding of OpenShift Platform

  • Experience with Dockers and Kubernetes containers Self-Service, GitLab, Gitlab CI, Nexus, Swagger, or Kong

  • Knowledge of languages such as JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Go, and Node.js

  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lamda, etc.

  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL; web servers; and UI/UX design

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with KubIC OpenShift

  • Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Rest Services and client-side object model.

  • Demonstrated experience with static website development engines such as Hugo.

  • Demonstrated experience working with IC ITE engineering working groups.
