What You Will Do:

Systems Analyst (also known as Systems Administrator or Data Analyst) will support a large IC Agency's CIO-T office with managing enterprise level data systems to include conducting analytics for insight and creating more efficient ways of accessing the data. Regular duties will include:

  • Design, deploy, configure, secure, monitor, and manage a variety of cloud-based infrastructure components hosted within multiple cloud providers, including Amazon Web Service’s VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, Cloud Formation, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.

  • Install, configure, secure, upgrade, and maintain multiple operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CENTOS, and Windows Server in accordance with DoD, IC, and NGA policies.

  • Maintain several enterprise-class web analytics collection platforms utilizing PHP, MySQL, Apache, and other similar technologies.

  • Troubleshoot, document, and fix complex system, network, and database issues.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system health checks and backups.

  • Evaluate and install application and operating system security patches while maintaining a log of system problems, errors, failures, trends, and downtime metrics.

  • Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades.

  • Create and manage application user accounts and access control using least privilege methodologies.

  • Perform and document all required actions necessary to obtain and maintain a full Authority To Operate (ATO) system accreditation, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), collaborating with accreditation authorities, creating Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), populating XACTA, etc.

  • Submit requirements within Service+ for any compute, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning to be fulfilled by the UDS contractor.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal with DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

  • TEN (10) years of work experience with FOUR (4) or more years of experience in Systems Administration / Data Analysis

  • Knowledge of the LINUX operating system

  • Experience with Windows Administration, for example: Active Directory

  • Experience with hardening Windows instance per DISA STIG or equivalent, PowerShell and Bash Shell scripting, Group Policy Updates/Management, Users and Group Management

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud architecture: Amazon EC2 (create and update Amazon Machine Images), Amazon S3 (configure bucket policies, Amazon VPC endpoints), AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon VPC (manage Security Groups, Subnets, etc.), AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Comprehensive understanding of large Federal Agency’s web ecosystem and topology.

  • Experience with Enterprise Services such as GEOAxIS, VDSS, Cloud Operations, Active Directory, DNS, etc.

  • Experience working with JavaScript, Web Services, SQL, and MySQL
