What You Will Do:

Our Department of Defense (DOD) Financial Management professionals help clients support operations and improve their finance organizations. This team supports the DOD’s audit objectives through documenting procedures, testing internal controls, remediating audit findings, and supporting operational processes within financial offices across the organization.

This role will support in a technical track capacity, with emphasis on project and task level delivery, while coordinating with advisory team members on the project strategy, improvements, and client messaging.  The individual will bring forward relevant experience to augment operations of the DOD client and support routine tasks from the project team such as, performing reconciliations, testing transaction documentation, coordinating client/team meetings (e.g., scheduling, planning, capturing actions, creating meeting notes/minutes) and other project administrative support.  

What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance. Candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, government, defense, business or related business field.

  • ONE (1) year of experience in finance, ( i.e., budgeting, accounting, financial management, auditing) or DOD business related field; Advanced degree in lieu of YOE requirement.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.

  • Long-term commitment to the project, client and tasks

  • DOD accounting, budgetary, financial management or audit experience.  

  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to: DOD accounting, DOD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process (PPBE), DOD financial management, federal financial statement auditing, internal controls, audit liaison, financial reporting, financial business process reengineering, and data analytics.
