What You Will Do:

This position provides comprehensive support to a dynamic and fast-paced IT portfolio, serving as an IT Project Manager for at least one of the client’s electronic discovery systems, as well as acting as lead for the IT Project Management Office (PMO). Responsibilities include facilitating program management operations within the client’s IT Support Unit by organizing recurring meetings, compiling and preparing reports for management review, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to organize or monitor key initiatives for the primary client group. The position supports special projects such as evaluating and analyzing next-generation software through market research and requirements gathering, thereby contributing to the strategic development of the client’s IT portfolio. As Business Systems Analyst, you will assist in tracking and supporting major management initiatives, while developing and monitoring goals, objectives, risks, and achievements for the IT Support Unit.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and document new and existing business processes for training, analysis, and improvement.

  • Analyze business processes to identify efficiency opportunities.

  • Business process reengineering opportunities for improving workforce efficiency

  • Assess operational requirements and perform gap analyses for process modifications.

  • Maintain a requirements database linking business requirements to supporting solutions.

  • Validate proposed solutions to an existing business need satisfactorily meet all requirements.

  • Complete assigned research and documentation tasks related to business analysis.

  • Maintain documentation of functional capabilities of current and planned IT solutions.

  • Continuous analysis of existing capabilities against documented business requirements to determine where gaps in technology are preventing the efficient execution of business processes.

  • Compare marketing materials from industry solution providers that claim to satisfy the identified business requirements and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives that can be used by the Program Management Office (PMO) to identify and prioritize new projects.

  • Develop and execute test scripts to consistently evaluate capabilities of recommend solutions so that they may be fairly and accurately evaluated across business requirements.

  • Review configuration changes to keep business capability records accurate.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance. Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" security clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree, FOUR (4) years of general IT experience or other relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree.

  • TEN (10) or more years of general IT experience covering the following areas: business analysis, systems analysis, software development, quality assurance, and/or project management.

  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate

  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Certificate

  • Knowledge of business analysis best practices as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

  • Experience providing reports through office applications to improve business processes.

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboards using platforms such as Microsoft Power BI.

  • Experience with M365 services such as Power Automate and Power Apps for business processes and workflow automation.

  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders from a variety of professional disciplines, including IT engineers, IT project managers, legal experts, etc.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening, and reading), as well as excellent organizational and project management skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
